For most individuals, there’s definitely a drawer for orphaned socks in your home. Ok, now you can make good use of those lone socks! If you are having trouble with the neck and shoulder pain, all you need is a sock and some rice. This pad fits better when you’re using a larger sock, like a tube sock.
- Fill the socks with rice. Leave enough room on top to close the gap by either stitching It or securing it with a rubber band or string — essentially something you think will keep the rice in.
- Microwave up for 2 minutes on fast.
- Disable from the microwave. Put onto your shoulder or arm. Once the heating pad gets cold, microwave again for 1 minute and reapplies if you need one more time.
- It’s cost-effective and easier to make your own heating pad than using an electric heater. It also saves your ride to the supermarket if you are too tired to leave the building. When muscle and joint pain lasts for many days, make an appointment with your doctor.
How To Make : WAY 2
- Two hand towels
- A ziplock
- A microwave oven
- Wet your towels with water. Squeeze the excess water out until just cool.
- Put one towel in the ziplock bag, making sure the bag is left open. Place your bag in the microwave and heat for 2 minutes on high.
- Take out the microwave container. Be careful-it’s going to be humid and hot! Seal the bag, then wrap the other wet towel around the bag.
- Put this homemade heating pad on the sore region. The heat is supposed to last for 20 minutes.
Caution: These are wonderful to use for aches and pains, or simply to pamper yourself after a long, hard day — but be vigilant before applying to your body. First shake it, feel around, and check it’s not too hot and it won’t burn, particularly when you’re using on a kid.
