The edible water bottle is a container of gel made of blob-like mud.
It can be difficult to get your normal daily water intake, but one breakthrough makes it easier than ever to have an H2O bottle, or glob, on hand. An inexpensive, biodegradable “water bottle” that paves the way for hydration’s future- came to the public’s attention in 2013.
The orb (which Fast Company once described as looking like a silicone implant) is developed by Rodrigo García González, Guillaume Couche, and Pierre Paslier of Skipping Rocks Lab in London, by taking a frozen ball of water and then covering it in layers of a membrane made from seaweed extract.
Back to 2015! It’s been given a $22,500 sustainability award from the EU and now it looks like these water blobs will be ready to throw into your bag on the way out of the door.
The firm continues testing the water bubbles at major sporting events in 2018.
Yeah! It Has considerable potential for environmental efforts: 50 billion plastic bottles are used annually in America alone, and Ooho spherical bottles! One day, packaging could bump plastic from store shelves. But if you’re confused by the thought of biting into a water glob, don’t worry, this isn’t a must.
You don’t have to eat it all at the end of the day, But the edible portion demonstrates how delicious it is.
People are very keen on making a packaging material that is so harmless that you can eat it.
Packaging could bump petroleum plastic bottles from store shelves one day
So actually, that you can even make them at home
This is how Edible Water Blob Changed Hydration Forever
