Adjust your sleeping position

It makes the base of your tongue collapse while you sleep lying on your back, and the soft palate falls to the back of your throat. Which makes for a snore. Sleeping alongside can reduce snoring.

Stop smoking

Smoking irritates the airways which worsen the snoring condition.

Quit sedative medicines, sleeping pills

Sedative medicines help one get a very deep sleep that brings a lot of relief to the throat and prevents snoring.

Lose weight

People with overweight are more likely to snore. Fatty tissue and poor muscle tone make one snore particularly around the throat. So that offers you a more reason for weight loss.

Ginger and honey tea

Ginger has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. That enhances the secretion of saliva. Which contributes to throat relief and snoring. To stop snoring, drink the honey and ginger tea twice a day.

Cut off inflammatory foods

Dairy and gluten products are known to cause inflammation of the tissues in the nose and throat. One shouldn’t avoid drinking milk altogether, but a glass of plain tea is a nice way to minimize snoring sometime before reaching the bed.

Drinking water

Dehydration allows mucus to develop and is one of the allows of snoring. To avoid these annoying snores, it is strongly recommended to drink 3.7 liters of water by men and 2.7 liters by women.

Extra virgin olive oil

It smoothes the airways by consuming extra virgin olive oil before bedtime. It also prevents obstruction of the throat muscles during sleep.
