Apparently, there are quite a few unforeseen alternative applications of Listerine. I use it as an underarm deodorant, a toenail fungus remover and my dog’s flea repellent. I never realized how useful this mouthwash really could be.
Scroll through this exclusive list below to see how many extremely inventive ways ordinary Listerine can be used. I have certainly tried them out myself!
Clean Computer Screen display
Clean the glass? A solid, alcohol-based mouthwash on your computer monitor or TV screen will work as well as, or better than, glass cleaner. Add to dry soft, damp cloth and buff on screen. Care to rely on glass screens only, not shows of liquid crystal! The content used in LCDs may be affected by alcohol.
Cure Underarm Odor
Standard deodorants mask unpleasant underarm odours with a strong scent of perfume but do little to tackle the issue. Dampen a cotton ball with a sugarless, alcohol-based mouthwash and swab your armpits to get rid of the bacteria that cause the odour of transpiration. When you’ve just shaved your armpits, it’s best to wait to try this on another day.
Add To Wash Water
Smelly gym socks are often full of bacteria and fungi that might not all come out in the wash-unless you add a cup of alcohol-based, sugarless mouthwash during the regular wash cycle.

Clean Your Toilet
Do you use a cleaner to wash toilet bowl regularly? Start pouring 1/4 cup mouthwash into the bowl. Let it stand 1/2 hour in the bowl, then rub with a toilet brush until it flushes. The mouthwash will disinfect the germs as it sparkles and cleanses your toilet bowl.
Getting Rid Of The Dandruff
Do you wash your hair with your usual shampoo to cure a bad case of dandruff; then now try washing with a mouthwash dependent on alcohol. You should follow it with the standard conditioner.
